Family evening of rounders and other games

 

A fun but slightly colder summer’s evening took the Kirby, Jacobs, Freeman and Wood families to St John’s Lye for rounders and fish and chips.  Competitive tablers whacked the ball as far as they could trying (a bit) not to knock the heads of their little ones who were fielding.  The adults won, which is unsurprising as we did not tell the kids the rules.  Fish and chips were ordered and scoffed in minutes with the plentiful beer and wine, whilst the local coppers patrolled the area scoping us in case we caused trouble.  A less well attended social event due to the holidays but still another excellent evening organised by 2009 social guru Neil Kirby.
