Q - Who joins Round Table and why?

Members of Woking Round Table come from all walks of life and join for a variety of reasons.  New Tablers are encouraged to mix and 'have-a-go' at helping to organise and run meetings and events.  The organisation is run by and for Tablers.


Q - How do I become a member?

Men between the ages of 18 and 45 are welcome to join Round Table. Potential members are invited to attend a couple of events to find out if Tabling is right for them before committing to join. There are no barriers regarding one's political, religious, occupational or marital status.  Our Events Diary will give you a guide to upcoming events. If you are interested, please contact us and arrange to come along to one of the social events or to meet us for a pint and a meal at one of the business meetings.


Q - What about the costs and commitment involved?

There is an annual subscription fee of £175, and you then pay for each event that you attend (costs vary form £10 to £30 depending upon what we are doing).  Members are encouraged to attend meetings and to support and participate in as many of the other activities as possible. As with any hobby the more you put in, the more you get out.


Q - What if I move to another part of the country?

This is where being a member of Round Table really pays off. If you move elsewhere there will be a Round Table Club close by. Once a member of Round Table, always a member. If you find yourself in an unfamiliar village, town, city or Country then there will be a group of friends waiting to welcome you... all you have to do is contact them and you simply transfer from your old Table to the new one.


Q - Is there something for the ladies?

Round Table has a sister organisation called "Ladies Circle" (There is a link to their site in our Links section). Also, there are several "joint" events during the year where Tablers bring their partners.
